Spiral Floor Lamp
Spiral Floor lamp is an innovative lighting fixture that exemplifies minimalist design principles through its striking geometric composition and functional elegance. Created by designer Marco - Yongge Wu, this contemporary floor lamp demonstrates a masterful integration of form and function, constructed from a single continuous line of polished steel that creates both its structural support and aesthetic appeal. Standing at 170 centimeters in height, the lamp features a distinctive triangular base that presents different visual perspectives when viewed from various angles, creating an engaging optical illusion while maintaining structural stability. The lamp's most notable feature is its spiral connection between the body tube and the LED light source, which creates a captivating floating effect. This rechargeable LED implementation eliminates the need for traditional power cords, maintaining the design's pure, uncluttered aesthetic. The lamp's dimensions of 28cm in width and 23.8cm in depth contribute to its well-balanced proportions, while its abstract yet functional design makes it equally suitable as both a practical lighting solution and a sculptural art piece. The design's innovative approach and exceptional execution were recognized with a Bronze A' Design Award in the Lighting Products and Fixtures Design category, acknowledging its contribution to contemporary lighting design. The lamp's emphasis on simplicity, combined with its sophisticated engineering considerations in the base design, showcases a thoughtful balance between artistic vision and practical functionality, making it particularly suitable for modern interior spaces where both illumination and aesthetic appeal are paramount.
