Special Edition Dalva Vitor Matos Packaging

Special Edition Dalva Vitor Matos Packaging

Special Edition Dalva Vitor Matos Packaging is an exemplary premium wine packaging design that masterfully combines artistic elements with functional sophistication, created to house a distinguished 20 Years Tawny Port wine. This innovative packaging design, which earned a Silver A' Design Award in the Packaging Design category, represents a harmonious fusion of gastronomy and oenology through its thoughtfully curated elements. The design features silk-screen printed labels and incorporates a distinctive wooden bartop, complemented by a carefully crafted brochure containing curated recipes. The packaging's dimensions of 155mm width, 307mm depth, and 79mm height are precisely calculated to ensure optimal presentation and protection of its contents. A notable artistic element of the design is the integration of a watercolor painting titled Golden Landscapes, created on the same day as the Tawny Port, serving as a visual tribute to the wine-making heritage and vineyard culture. The premium cardboard exterior maintains a clean, sophisticated aesthetic while featuring differentiating design elements that elevate its presence. Developed in Porto, Portugal between July 2014 and early 2015, this packaging design exemplifies the intersection of functional design and artistic expression. The inclusion of a specialized brochure with recipes demonstrates a thoughtful approach to creating a comprehensive user experience that extends beyond mere containment, establishing a meaningful connection between fine dining and premium port wine appreciation. This design, recognized for its excellence through the A' Design Award, represents a significant achievement in packaging design, particularly in the luxury beverage sector, where it successfully balances aesthetic appeal with practical functionality while honoring traditional wine-making heritage.
