Sparkling Bali Residential Apartment
Sparkling Bali Residential Apartment is an innovative residential interior design project that exemplifies the harmonious fusion of party-themed living spaces with sophisticated architectural solutions. Located in Taiwan, this transformative renovation project, completed in 2021 by designer Lo Fang Ming, masterfully addresses the challenges of an aging structure through comprehensive structural modifications and contemporary design elements. The project's distinctive features include a revolutionary three-floor layout incorporating a glass staircase patio that facilitates natural light penetration throughout the space, effectively countering the original building's dark interior and low ceiling heights. The design's ingenuity is particularly evident in its multifunctional elements, such as the stair facade and steps that integrate storage solutions, notably a sophisticated wine storage system, while maintaining open spaces for social gatherings. The aesthetic language employs water-rippled stainless steel surfaces and wave-inspired lighting fixtures that metaphorically reference coastal elements, creating an avant-garde atmosphere that seamlessly blends natural leisure with modern luxury. The interior's spatial organization follows a hollow square configuration, promoting fluid movement and social interaction while accommodating more than ten guests comfortably. The project, which earned recognition with an Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, showcases innovative solutions such as mirrored ceilings to create an illusion of height in the 2.2-meter-high spaces, and clever corridor designs utilizing shoe stools and short arks to overcome spatial constraints. The integration of futuristic elements with traditional architecture, combined with thoughtful space optimization and functionality, establishes this residential design as a significant example of contemporary urban living that successfully balances social entertainment needs with private relaxation spaces.
