Spaciousness, Brightness And Home Essence Residence

Spaciousness, Brightness And Home Essence Residence

Spaciousness, Brightness and Home Essence Residence is an award-winning interior design project that exemplifies contemporary residential architecture through its innovative approach to spatial organization and natural light integration. Located in downtown Tainan, Taiwan, this 442.2-square-meter residence masterfully combines two separate houses into a harmonious living space that prioritizes openness and visual continuity. The design, created by Cheng Sheng, demonstrates exceptional spatial planning by incorporating a seamless flow between the living room, dining area, and study, spanning approximately 198 square meters of open-plan living space. The project's distinguishing features include its strategic western orientation, offering panoramic sea views from both communal areas and private bedrooms, while the carefully considered ceiling design serves as a unifying element that balances the merged spaces. The interior aesthetic embraces a modern and casual style, characterized by symmetrically arranged custom furniture and thoughtful material selection that creates a peaceful domestic environment. Completed in March 2015, this residential project earned the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category for its outstanding achievement in balancing aesthetic appeal with functional design principles. The design philosophy emphasizes the integration of eco-vision principles, creating distinct spatial experiences while maintaining a cohesive whole that serves as a tranquil refuge for its residents, particularly catering to the needs of a frequently traveling business professional seeking a harmonious domestic life.
