Song's Club Club
Song's Club Club is an innovative interior design project that exemplifies the fusion of traditional Chinese landscape painting aesthetics with contemporary spatial design principles. Located in Guangzhou, China, this 1600-square-meter establishment represents a sophisticated interpretation of classical Chinese artistic elements through modern architectural language. The design, which earned a Silver A' Design Award in Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, is distinguished by its unique implementation of organic-shaped gable walls that define individual spaces while maintaining visual connectivity through carefully positioned openings at varying heights. The project's conceptual foundation draws inspiration from the ridges of Mountain Walls and the spatial qualities found in traditional Chinese landscape paintings, particularly those from the Song Dynasty. The interior features a remarkable combination of materials including Glass Fiber Reinforced Gypsum (GRG), copper plating, stainless steel, marble, and weathering steel, creating a sophisticated material palette that enhances the overall aesthetic experience. A notable design element is the installation wall constructed with vertically crossing reinforced steel, which creates dynamic light interactions and shadow projections throughout the space. The reception area showcases a non-textured desk resembling naturally solidified lava, establishing a thematic connection to the concept of frozen moments in time. The design successfully achieves a delicate balance between separation and connectivity, employing penetrable spaces that embody the Chinese philosophical principle of implicit beauty and ambiguity, while incorporating modern amenities such as state-of-the-art mood lighting and sound systems, private KTV rooms, and custom metal and wood furniture, all contributing to an atmosphere that bridges historical artistic values with contemporary luxury entertainment requirements.
