Snowfeet Miniski Skates is an innovative winter sports equipment that revolutionizes the traditional skiing experience by combining elements of skiing and skating in a compact, portable design. Developed through extensive research on human foot biomechanics and motion studies, these miniature skis feature a sophisticated design inspired by classic winter skis and racing car aesthetics, particularly drawing influence from iconic vehicles like the Mustang. The product, which earned a Bronze A' Design Award in the Sporting Goods, Fitness and Recreation Equipment Design category, consists of durable PA6 plastic reinforced with 30 percent glass fibers, measuring 390mm x 130mm x 40mm. The design incorporates several technical innovations, including a carefully engineered front radius to prevent snow burial, steel edges for enhanced control and skid stopping capability, and guide rails on the base for improved directional stability. The internal surface features a non-slip texture suitable for both traditional and snowboard boots, complemented by an aesthetically pleasing deer motif that enhances the product's visual appeal. Distinguished by its versatility, these mini-skis allow users to access narrow forest paths typically inaccessible to conventional skis, while offering the unique advantage of compatibility with regular winter boots, eliminating the need for specialized footwear. The design, created by Zbynek Suba and team, underwent more than a year of rigorous testing and refinement to ensure optimal safety, maneuverability, and stopping capability, ultimately resulting in a product that represents a significant advancement in winter sports equipment design.
