Sliding Table Side Table For A Living Area

Sliding Table Side Table For A Living Area

Sliding Table Side table for a living area is an innovative furniture design that exemplifies modern multifunctional living solutions, created by Portuguese designer José Leite. This versatile piece features a sophisticated combination of materials and functionalities, incorporating retractable trays and integrated seating elements within its primary structure. The design, which earned a Bronze A' Design Award in the Furniture Design category, showcases a thoughtful approach to contemporary urban living challenges. Constructed with precision-cut 5mm aluminum sheets using laser technology and finished with powder coating, the table measures 1000x1000x470mm and demonstrates exceptional attention to material integration. The complementary components include sycamore coated plywood trays with matte varnish finishing and upholstered seats featuring semi-rigid foam and fabric covering. Drawing inspiration from the modular nature of Lego pieces, the design emphasizes the dynamic relationship between different components while maintaining aesthetic harmony through contrasting materials and colors. The table's adaptable nature makes it particularly suitable for users aged 20-35 years, addressing the evolving needs of modern living spaces in both residential and commercial environments. Its innovative design approach optimizes production processes while achieving a refined balance between simplicity and sophisticated finishing, making it an exemplary piece for contemporary interior spaces where functionality meets aesthetic excellence.
