Sky Surface Downlight
Sky Surface Downlight is an innovative architectural lighting fixture that revolutionizes the concept of surface-mounted illumination through its distinctive floating design aesthetic. Created by designer Rubén Saldaña Acle, this sophisticated luminaire appears to levitate 5 centimeters from the ceiling, achieved through a minimalist disc-shaped design that combines both visual elegance and technical excellence. The fixture is constructed using injection-molded special aluminum alloy, chosen specifically for its superior thermal transmission properties, ensuring optimal heat dissipation for the LED light source and maintaining ideal operating conditions for extended lifespan. The diffuser, manufactured from Poly Methyl Methacrylate (PMMA) with specialized agents, provides optimal light distribution while incorporating antiglare properties and maximum light transmission. With a diameter of 300mm and a total height of 87mm, the fixture delivers impressive luminous flux ranging from 2200Lm to 5150Lm, making it suitable for both low and high-ceiling applications such as pavilions, airports, and shopping centers. The design, which earned a Silver A' Design Award in the Lighting Products and Fixtures Design category, exemplifies the harmonious integration of functionality and aesthetics, featuring adjustable options including Push, 1-10V, and DALI dimming capabilities, along with color temperature choices of 3000K or 4000K. Its white matt textured finish and pure geometric form contribute to its minimal aesthetic, while its high performance and energy efficiency, consuming between 20W to 46W, demonstrate its technical sophistication.
