Sky Light A Lighting
Sky light A Lighting is an innovative artificial solar lighting system that revolutionizes indoor illumination by simulating natural sunlight through advanced OLED display technology. Designed by Byoengchan Oh, this sophisticated lighting solution seamlessly reproduces the appearance and ambiance of a real skylight, complete with realistic representations of various atmospheric conditions including clear blue skies, cloudy weather, and starlit nights. The system, which earned recognition with an Iron A' Design Award in the Lighting Products and Fixtures Design category, features a slim profile of just 20mm in height and is available in two dimensional configurations: 500mm x 500mm and 1000mm x 500mm. This groundbreaking design utilizes transparent OLED technology to achieve high color rendering capabilities, enabling the accurate reproduction of natural light conditions while functioning as both an illumination source and a dynamic display. The system's sophisticated programming allows it to reflect real-time weather conditions and temporal changes, making it particularly valuable for spaces lacking natural light access, such as healthcare facilities, underground areas, commercial establishments, and residential interiors. The design addresses contemporary architectural challenges where traditional skylights are impractical or impossible, offering psychological benefits through its ability to create a sense of openness and connection to the outdoor environment, particularly beneficial for individuals experiencing claustrophobia or limited access to natural daylight.
