Sky Jade Residence
Sky Jade Residence is an innovative architectural masterpiece located in Taichung City, Taiwan, representing a paradigm shift in sustainable residential design through its integration of digital architecture and environmental consciousness. This 24-story residential development distinguishes itself through its revolutionary approach to urban living, featuring a distinctive 7-degree sloped glass curtain wall that creates a diamond-faceted appearance, dynamically transforming with changing atmospheric conditions. The structure's design philosophy prioritizes the preservation of green spaces over maximizing building coverage, incorporating a sophisticated vertical garden system with sky gardens positioned every three floors. The building encompasses 3,074.92 square meters of lot size, offering residential units ranging from 188 to 209 square meters of living space. Its architectural innovation lies in the utilization of advanced digital parametric technology, enabling comprehensive environmental analysis and optimization of spatial design through three-dimensional modeling. The development integrates cutting-edge sustainability features, including rainwater harvesting systems, energy storage solutions for high-speed elevators, and solar power implementation for public spaces. The building's exterior showcases a cascading green waterfall motif, with 60% greenery coverage responding harmoniously to the adjacent Tunghai University's forested area. The project, recognized with an Iron A' Design Award in the Architecture, Building and Structure Design category, demonstrates exceptional achievement in combining technological innovation with ecological sensitivity. Its smart building management system incorporates various health and safety measures, including non-touch elevator controls, sterilization devices, and a Variable Airflow Condition system, establishing new standards for future-forward residential architecture.
