Sky Green Residential Public Spaces

Sky Green Residential Public Spaces is an innovative architectural achievement that exemplifies the harmonious integration of nature within urban residential environments, located in downtown Taichung. This sophisticated public space design, created by designer Heng Sheng, encompasses 1,952 square meters of thoughtfully crafted communal areas including a lobby, common room, library, and swimming pool. The design's distinctive approach manifests through its seamless blend of natural and artificial elements, featuring a striking 9-meter wall-mounted mechanical lotus flower installation called Heavenly Bloom that serves as a symbolic bridge between built and natural environments. The space employs an sophisticated material palette of polished light grey marble, titanium, and glass, strategically implemented to maximize natural light and create an illusion of expanded space. The design's innovative use of beveled aluminum mesh trellises supports external greenery while addressing structural challenges through its lightweight, non-corrosive properties. The library space showcases warm wood and leather furnishings, complemented by large picture windows overlooking a bamboo grove garden, while the pool area incorporates rough-hewn granite walls and living vegetation. This Silver A' Design Award-winning project in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category demonstrates exceptional achievement in sustainable urban design, particularly through its innovative approach to incorporating natural elements within contemporary architectural spaces. The design's sophisticated use of reflective surfaces, including polished titanium ceilings and mirrored elements, creates an enhanced sense of spaciousness while facilitating a tranquil transition from the urban exterior to the serene interior environment.
