Sky Club House Fitness Club

Sky Club House Fitness Club

Sky Club House Fitness Club is an innovative architectural and interior design project that exemplifies the harmonious integration of natural light and temporal elements in contemporary fitness facility design. Located in Guangdong, China, this sophisticated fitness establishment was conceptualized and brought to life by renowned designer Ann Yu, who serves as the founding partner and creative director of her design practice. The project's distinctive approach revolves around two primary design characters: natural light and time, both of which are masterfully incorporated into the spatial composition. The facility's architectural framework is specifically engineered to maximize the interplay of natural illumination, allowing light to become an active design element that defines material outlines and creates dynamic interactions with fixed installations throughout the space. A notable feature of the design is the systematic implementation of 20 percent grey artificial concrete tiles, which are meticulously arranged throughout the entire space, creating a uniform canvas that evolves with time and use. This thoughtful material selection demonstrates a forward-thinking approach to sustainable design practices while maintaining aesthetic excellence. The project garnered international recognition when it was awarded the prestigious Golden A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category in 2018, acknowledging its exceptional contribution to innovative spatial design and its successful integration of environmental considerations with functional requirements. The design philosophy emphasizes the fade-away of traditional interior design constraints, pushing boundaries through the development and application of artificial cloud slabs, which presents a novel, environmentally conscious material solution for the commercial fitness sector.
