Singularity Photographs is an innovative architectural photography series that explores the isolation and sculptural qualities of urban buildings through a minimalist aesthetic approach. Created by German photographer Florian W. Mueller, this ongoing collection presents architectural structures stripped of their surrounding urban context, positioning them against pristine sky backgrounds to emphasize their singular presence and formal qualities. The series employs sophisticated photographic techniques, utilizing a full-frame Nikon D800E camera with specialized lenses to capture the buildings' essential forms. Through meticulous post-production processes, Mueller removes neighboring structures and urban elements, creating a deliberate void that transforms each building into a solitary architectural sculpture. The photographs are produced in limited editions, available in two sizes: 30 x 40 cm editions of 10, and 60 x 80 cm editions of 5, presented either framed or mounted on aluminum Dibond behind matte plexiglass. This methodological approach to architectural photography earned recognition with a Silver A' Design Award in the Photography and Photo Manipulation Design category, acknowledging its contribution to advancing the boundaries of architectural photography.
