Shuxiangyuan Model Room Show Flat
Shuxiangyuan Model Room Show Flat is an exemplary interior design project that showcases innovative residential space planning and artistic integration within a 222-square-meter area. Completed in December 2020 in Yuxi, this sophisticated show flat represents a breakthrough in contemporary living space design, seamlessly blending modern aesthetics with traditional cultural elements. The design, led by Xiaohui Chen alongside team members Zhi Qiu, Yongzhi Huang, and Yingyao Huang, demonstrates exceptional attention to material selection and artistic detail, incorporating stone, ceramic tiles, wood veneers, stainless steel, copper, mirrors, glass, leather, and various wall treatments. A notable feature includes 185 pieces of stainless steel wall bricks in the guest restaurant area, installed using advanced techniques such as staggered lap joints and face knocking, exemplifying innovation in residential interior design. The space is distinguished by its integration of natural elements and traditional culture, featuring hand-painted ink textures and bamboo motifs, while the ceiling showcases intricate dragon sculptures with hand-painted and polished plaster details. Drawing inspiration from French design aesthetics, the project incorporates elements such as aurora, stars, cloud patterns, and floral motifs, creating a harmonious blend of international style and local cultural references. The design's excellence was recognized with an Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category in 2021, acknowledging its contribution to innovative spatial design and material application in contemporary residential showcases.
