Showni Clothing Boutique is an innovative retail space design project completed in 2019, exemplifying contemporary interior architecture through its distinctive spatial arrangement and artistic expression. Located in Suzhou, this 108-square-meter boutique represents a sophisticated interpretation of modern retail design, characterized by its sculptural partitions, high-contrast color scheme, and innovative use of materials. The design philosophy centers on the concept of authenticity and self-expression, manifested through irregular curved structures and a striking visual narrative. The boutique's architectural language is defined by its half-moon-shaped entrance, which distinguishes it from conventional storefronts, while large French windows facilitate natural illumination. The interior layout is thoughtfully segmented into three primary zones: a welcoming reception area with a bar, a central arc-shaped core for primary product display, and auxiliary spaces including fitting rooms and accessory displays. A notable design element is the creative repurposing of red air conditioning hoses, suspended throughout the space to create dynamic visual guidance and circulation paths. The color palette, dominated by clean whites accented with bold red elements, creates a sophisticated atmosphere that enhances the merchandise presentation. The project, which won a Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, demonstrates exceptional innovation in retail design through its integration of functional requirements with artistic expression, utilizing terrazzo floor tiles and acrylic display elements to achieve both cost-effectiveness and aesthetic sophistication. The design successfully transforms a conventional rectangular space into an engaging retail environment that encourages customer interaction and embodies the brand's philosophy of authentic self-expression.
