Shopare Residential

Shopare Residential is an innovative architectural concept that exemplifies minimalist design principles while drawing inspiration from the bat, as reflected in its name which translates to bat in the Gilan local language. This distinguished residential project, designed by architects Yaser and Yasin Rashid Shomali, demonstrates exceptional integration with its hillside setting through its distinctive long box configuration and strategic use of materials. The structure's most notable features include a central glass slice that creates a seamless indoor-outdoor connection, and an ingenious bridge-supported parking solution that optimizes space utilization. The design philosophy emphasizes durability through the implementation of pre-finished steel cladding in grey and anthracite tones, harmoniously echoing the surrounding landscape's natural palette. The main living spaces are elevated and unified on a single level, presenting a significant architectural achievement that maximizes views of the adjacent forest. The social area, comprising the living room, kitchen, and sitting area, is characterized by floor-to-ceiling windows and rhythmic wooden beam arrangements that create compelling visual perspectives. The building's north face is predominantly closed to address weather considerations, while other elevations open generously to integrate with the forest environment. This Gold A' Design Award-winning project in the Architecture, Building and Structure Design category represents a sophisticated balance between functional efficiency and aesthetic excellence, featuring innovative elements such as typography as an architectural component and a floating aesthetic that enhances its visual impact. The design's technical execution allows for efficient construction using a steel frame system, with the possibility of prefabrication and on-site assembly, while the central glass box serves as a key architectural element that both divides and unifies the space.
