Shimao Loong Palace Residential Landscape

Shimao Loong Palace Residential Landscape

Shimao Loong Palace Residential landscape is an exemplary residential landscape project spanning approximately 17,000 square meters, situated in the northwest of Haidian District, Beijing, along the south bank of Shangzhuang Reservoir. This distinguished landscape design, which earned the Platinum A' Design Award in Landscape Planning and Garden Design, draws profound inspiration from the Ming Dynasty painting Fairyland of Peach Blossoms by Qiu Ying, masterfully integrating classical Chinese garden aesthetics with contemporary design principles. The project's architectural narrative seamlessly combines the grandeur of Northern Royal Gardens with the refined elegance of Southern Private Gardens, creating a harmonious synthesis that pays homage to traditional Chinese landscaping while meeting modern residential needs. The design employs a unique One boundary, Three gardens landscape pattern, incorporating sophisticated VR technology during the planning phase to ensure precise implementation of its intricate details. Completed in 2018, the project features meticulously planned spaces ranging from 533-square-meter deluxe courtyards to expansive 1,230-square-meter landscape areas, each embodying the essence of classical natural landscape gardens merged with royal garden elements. The design's cultural significance is deeply rooted in its proximity to the historic Three Hills and Five Gardens area and the North Court of the Palace Museum, creating a living environment that serves as a cultural repository of Chinese architectural heritage while providing an ideal contemporary living space.
