Shijiazhuang CBD Planning Center

Shijiazhuang CBD Planning Center

Shijiazhuang CBD Planning Center is a significant architectural and exhibition space located in Hebei Province, China, serving as a multifunctional cultural hub and gateway to the city's Central Business District. Situated at the intersection of Zhongshan Road and Gongli Street, this 2,000-square-meter facility represents a harmonious fusion of historical heritage and contemporary design aesthetics. The center's architectural narrative is structured around a past-present-future storyline, incorporating artistic elements that pay homage to Shijiazhuang's century-long evolution from a railway station to a major northern Chinese metropolis. The interior design, dominated by sophisticated beige tones, features an expansive hall with a distinctive slanting grid ceiling and carefully choreographed steps that create a metaphorical journey through time. Notable design elements include human figure sculptures and blue balloon art installations positioned at varying heights, symbolizing the city's upward trajectory and future development. The space combines cutting-edge technology with artistic expression, featuring interactive exhibitions and cultural displays that showcase the city's urban planning vision. Recognized with a Silver A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, the center exemplifies excellence in spatial design through its innovative integration of art, technology, and lighting solutions. The facility serves multiple functions, accommodating cultural exhibitions, business meetings, leisure activities, and investment-related services, while maintaining a strong connection to local heritage through its thoughtful design elements and strategic location adjacent to the historic Zhengtai Restaurant. Completed in June 2020, the project successfully addresses the challenge of integrating contemporary design with historical context, creating a space that not only serves its immediate functional purposes but also acts as a cultural bridge between the city's past and its ambitious future development plans.
