ShelfLamp Lamp And Shelf.

ShelfLamp Lamp And Shelf.

ShelfLamp Lamp and shelf is an innovative multifunctional lighting fixture and storage solution that exemplifies the convergence of form and function in contemporary interior design. Created by Georgian designer Giorgi Maghradze, this versatile piece comprises two distinct concrete units that can be arranged in various configurations, serving both as illumination and display surfaces. The design's ingenuity lies in its dual functionality and material experimentation, utilizing concrete as the primary medium while achieving remarkable lightness through clever engineering and construction techniques. The fixture incorporates mirrors between the light source and interior walls, creating an illusion of depth through reflections, while T4 fluorescent lamps (8-watt) provide adjustable illumination. Despite the inherent heaviness of concrete, the design maintains mobility through minimalist form and innovative construction methods involving wooden planks, foam plastic, and specialized cement application. The dimensions of the two pieces (33x25x11 cm and 63x25x11 cm, both with 0.5 cm thickness) allow for versatile placement options, whether wall-mounted, floor-standing, or table-based. This design, which earned a Bronze A' Design Award in the Lighting Products and Fixtures Design category, addresses contemporary challenges of space optimization and multifunctional furniture needs in modern living spaces, while its aesthetic appeal stems from its clean lines, material honesty, and transformative capabilities that encourage user interaction and creative interior arrangement.
