Serel Poseidon Oval Washbasin Self-Cleaning
Serel Poseidon Oval Washbasin Self-Cleaning is an innovative bathroom fixture that revolutionizes traditional washbasin design through its advanced self-cleaning functionality and water conservation features. This sophisticated sanitary ware, winner of the Silver A' Design Award in the Bathroom Furniture and Sanitary Ware Design category, represents a significant advancement in bathroom hygiene technology. Drawing inspiration from the tranquil nature of ocean waves and named after the mythological god of the sea, the design incorporates a unique reservoir cleaning system that mimics the gentle motion of waves washing against shores. The washbasin is crafted from vitreous china ceramic material and features dimensions of 600mm width, 450mm depth, and 160mm height. Its distinctive self-cleaning mechanism operates through a photocell cleaning system that utilizes merely 0.6 liters of water per cleaning cycle, significantly reducing water consumption and minimizing the need for chemical cleansers. The design incorporates advanced surface technology that inhibits bacterial growth and resists dirt accumulation, while its oval form combines aesthetic appeal with ergonomic functionality. The innovative cleaning system activates automatically after each use, maintaining optimal hygiene standards while contributing to environmental sustainability through reduced water and cleanser usage. This groundbreaking design, which earned recognition in 2018, exemplifies the integration of modern technology with practical functionality, addressing contemporary concerns about hygiene, water conservation, and environmental responsibility in bathroom fixtures.
