Seotun Saram Mobile UX UI
Seotun Saram Mobile UX UI is an innovative mobile application interface design that revolutionizes the approach to psychological counseling services in South Korea through a thoughtfully crafted user experience. Developed under the creative direction of Donggyun Kang and Yangji Kim, this groundbreaking design transforms the traditionally intimidating process of seeking mental health support into an accessible and welcoming journey through the metaphorical use of fairy tale narratives. The interface features two primary characters: 'Seotun,' representing the counselee seeking guidance, and 'Gobukki,' symbolizing the reliable counselor, both navigating through a carefully designed visual landscape characterized by warm paper textures and lyrical navy blue night sky themes. The design, which earned recognition with an Iron A' Design Award in the Mobile Technologies, Applications and Software Design category, addresses critical infrastructural challenges in the psychological counseling sector by connecting users with qualified professional counselors in a secure environment. Its distinctive approach incorporates hand-drawn icons, intuitive navigation, and a comforting visual language that effectively demystifies the counseling process. The name 'Seotun-saram,' meaning 'someone who is not skilled and used to,' resonates with the project's core message that Everyone starts clumsily, offering reassurance to first-time counseling seekers. This mobile UX UI design exemplifies how thoughtful digital interface design can bridge the gap between professional mental health services and those in need, while simultaneously working to destigmatize mental health support through its warm, approachable aesthetic and user-centric functionality.
