See And Feel Students Service Centre

See and feel Students Service Centre is an innovative interior design project that reimagines the traditional concept of student counseling spaces within educational institutions. Located at the heart of a campus, this thoughtfully designed centre represents a paradigm shift in approaching student services through architectural intervention. The design philosophy centers on creating a harmonious balance between privacy and community, featuring eight private consultation hubs, each measuring 2.5 by 2.5 meters, equipped with sophisticated acoustic solutions and distinctive light troughs that serve as room indicators. The centre's design draws inspiration from the calming atmosphere created by natural light interactions with the adjacent blue outdoor playground, conceptually transforming the consultation experience into a resort-like environment. The minimalist material palette, consisting of white paint, white vinyl floor, grey felt, grey granolithic, patterned glass, and strategic placement of greenery, creates a serene atmosphere conducive to meaningful interactions. The spatial organization cleverly integrates collaborative office spaces for counselors with private pods, creating intimate pocket spaces for waiting or quiet reflection. This innovative approach to student services design, completed in 2019, earned recognition at the A' Design Award competition, receiving the Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category for its exceptional contribution to educational space design. The project successfully overcomes the challenge of positioning traditionally private activities in a central campus location while maintaining confidentiality and spatial quality through thoughtful design solutions that incorporate natural light and greenery throughout the space.
