Secluded Beauty In The Mountains Residence

Secluded Beauty In The Mountains Residence

Secluded Beauty in the Mountains Residence is an award-winning interior design project completed in Taoyuan, Taiwan in 2023, encompassing approximately 374 square meters of common areas within a residential development. This sophisticated architectural intervention, designed by Te Yu Liu and Hui-Ching Chang, masterfully integrates Japanese aesthetic principles with contemporary design elements to create a harmonious living environment that fosters community interaction and emotional connections among residents. The design's distinctive features include a meticulously crafted lobby that showcases an elegant interplay between natural stone veneer and titanium plating, complemented by refined wooden grilles that establish a sophisticated atmosphere. The space is further enhanced by the integration of ceramic artworks by renowned artists, particularly the masterpieces of Liu Jung Hui, which contribute to the artistic ambiance. The project incorporates multiple functional zones, including a thoughtfully designed lounge bar that successfully merges traditional Kyoto aesthetics with modern design sensibilities, offering residents an authentic taste of Japanese culture within a Taiwanese context. The design's exceptional merit has been recognized with a Silver A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, acknowledging its innovative approach to spatial organization, material selection, and cultural integration. The project stands as a testament to the possibility of creating tranquil urban sanctuaries that serve both aesthetic and social purposes, providing residents with a sophisticated retreat from city life while encouraging community engagement and cultural appreciation.
