Scent Of Music Residential Apartment
Scent of Music Residential Apartment is an innovative residential interior design project that exemplifies the harmonious integration of functionality and aesthetic sophistication in contemporary duplex living spaces. Located in Taichung, Taiwan, this 248-square-meter apartment, completed in 2016, showcases a masterful approach to spatial organization through its distinctive vertical circulation design. The project's centerpiece is a remarkable tall-standing cuboid main wall that penetrates both floors, serving as an architectural element that not only connects the fragmented spaces but also creates a thoughtful division between the living and dining areas. This design solution draws inspiration from piano keys and musical notes, incorporating engraved patterns that manipulate natural light to create dynamic shadow plays throughout the interior. The project's sophisticated handling of western sun exposure, a common challenge in Taiwan's residential architecture, demonstrates exceptional environmental consciousness. The design employs a refined gray-tone palette complemented by white spaces, establishing a subtle yet powerful sense of order and modern minimalism. A particularly noteworthy feature is the innovative staircase design, which utilizes composite materials to achieve a visually lightweight and playful appearance while maintaining structural integrity. This Silver A' Design Award-winning project in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category represents a significant achievement in residential interior design, showcasing excellence in spatial planning, material selection, and lighting design while effectively addressing practical living requirements in contemporary urban environments.
