Scene Merge With Love Residence
Scene Merge with Love Residence is an award-winning interior design project that masterfully integrates Eastern and Western aesthetic elements within a 330-square-meter residential space in Taichung, Taiwan. Completed in March 2019 by designer Hsueh-Yu Yeh, this sophisticated dwelling exemplifies the harmonious fusion of Chinese poetic aesthetics with contemporary design principles. The project's distinctive features include an innovative ceiling design with sleek lines that correspond to marble floor patterns, creating a visual metaphor of clouds and flowing water. The interior architecture encompasses an entrance, living room, dining room, kitchen, study, and three bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms, each space thoughtfully crafted using premium materials including natural stone wood, marble, titanium plate, and hand-scraped wood floors. The design's philosophical foundation draws inspiration from traditional Chinese aesthetics, particularly evident in the open public spaces where architectural elements such as louvers and carefully planned lighting create an atmospheric interplay of light and shadow. Notable design elements include a fireplace at the entrance, strategic window placement to frame exterior pine trees, and a study decorated with landscape ink artwork, all contributing to a luxurious yet culturally resonant living environment. The project, which earned a Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category in 2021, demonstrates exceptional attention to environmental considerations through its use of sustainable materials and high-standard building components that ensure longevity and durability.
