SASA Bottle Water Packaging
SASA Bottle Water Packaging is an innovative water bottle design that exemplifies the convergence of sustainable materials, functional efficiency, and aesthetic excellence in contemporary packaging design. Created by industrial designer Hakan Gürsu, this sophisticated packaging solution was specifically developed for the bottled water market, utilizing a groundbreaking BPA-free plastic material. The design's distinctive characteristics emerge from its unique structural composition, featuring a circular profile that seamlessly transitions into a super-circle shape, maximizing volume efficiency through its square-like bottom while maintaining visual elegance. Available in 0.5, 1, and 1.5-liter variants, the bottle family demonstrates exceptional durability and reusability through an integrated deposit system, positioning it as a more sustainable alternative to conventional PET or glass water containers. The design's technical specifications showcase advanced manufacturing processes, employing injection blow molding technology with material properties including a melting temperature range of 200°C to 255°C. Distinguished by its premium market positioning for high-end restaurants and upper-segment supermarkets, the packaging solution effectively communicates brand identity through thoughtful implementation of form, color, and pattern elements. The project, completed in Ankara between 2013-2014, represents a significant advancement in sustainable packaging design, earning recognition with a Bronze A' Design Award in the Packaging Design category, acknowledging its contribution to innovative and environmentally conscious design solutions.
