Sambaqui Residential House

Sambaqui Residential House

Sambaqui Residential House is an exemplary residential architectural project located in Florianópolis, Brazil, distinguished by its harmonious integration of interior design with natural surroundings and innovative use of space. This 535-square-meter, two-story residence showcases a sophisticated blend of natural materials, including wood flooring, bamboo panels, and brick walls, creating a seamless connection between indoor and outdoor environments. The interior design philosophy emphasizes flexibility through the implementation of large sliding panels that enable dynamic space configuration, allowing six main ground floor rooms to be either integrated or separated as needed. The project's distinctive features include a thoughtfully designed living room with custom panels accommodating home theatre equipment, and a strategically positioned piano area that capitalizes on scenic views. The kitchen design draws inspiration from English architectural elements, while the overall color palette incorporates raw tones, browns, light greens, and blues to enliven the neutral base design. The residence, completed in 2015, represents a comprehensive renovation project where interior architecture seamlessly merges with structural elements, demonstrating exceptional attention to electrical, hydraulic, and lighting systems integration. The project, which earned a Silver A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, exemplifies excellence in residential interior design through its innovative space utilization, material selection, and harmonious integration with the surrounding landscape.
