SAKÀ Visual Identity is a comprehensive visual communication system developed for a distinctive guest house in Druskininkai, Lithuania, exemplifying the seamless integration of local folklore with contemporary design principles. This meticulously crafted identity system, which earned the prestigious Golden A' Design Award in the Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design category, encompasses a wide array of design elements including logo design, room-specific graphics, wallpaper patterns, wall art, pillow appliques, website design, and various printed collateral such as postcards, badges, name cards, and invitations. The design's conceptual foundation draws inspiration from archaic Lithuanian legends associated with the Druskininkai region, with each guest room presenting a unique narrative through carefully designed symbolic elements. The visual language employs a minimalistic approach characterized by clean, light, and logical design solutions that effectively reduce visual noise while maintaining aesthetic coherence. This systematic approach to visual storytelling manifests through custom-designed symbols for each room, derived from key elements of their respective legends, which are thoughtfully integrated throughout the interior graphics and promotional materials. The project, completed between October 2012 and May 2013, demonstrates exceptional technical excellence in graphic design, strategic brand development, and cultural preservation through modern visual interpretation, establishing a distinctive identity that resonates with both local heritage and contemporary design sensibilities.
