Sacred Spatial Medium Residential Flat

Sacred Spatial Medium Residential Flat

Sacred Spatial Medium Residential Flat is an exemplary residential interior design project that masterfully integrates circular geometric principles with sophisticated spatial planning across 198 square meters. Conceived and executed by designer Yung-Chun Lin, this distinguished residential space draws profound inspiration from ancient Egyptian sacred geometry, particularly emphasizing the circle as a divine pattern. The design's centerpiece is its high-ceiling public space, which creates a majestic living room environment through the harmonious integration of tawny glass, circular iron elements, and stone-patterned ceramic slabs. The sophisticated lighting scheme employs circular structures in an open-style configuration, complemented by floor-length curtains and multi-layered ceiling cornices in subdued chromatic tones. The dining area and kitchen, positioned adjacent to the staircase, feature innovative bronze mirror ceiling treatments that create an illusion of expanded space, while the careful coordination of white dining chairs with black accents echoes the staircase's monochromatic design scheme. The second floor houses a master bedroom characterized by soft, pale tones, where purple and gold accents on the headboard create a focal point, enhanced by circular chandeliers and an oval rotatable mirror. This Bronze A' Design Award-winning project, recognized in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category in 2020, demonstrates exceptional expertise in spatial organization, material selection, and aesthetic coherence, while maintaining functional practicality for contemporary living needs. The design's thoughtful incorporation of circular motifs throughout the space creates a unified visual narrative that connects different areas of the residence, exemplifying how ancient geometric principles can be successfully adapted to modern residential architecture.
