Ruben Rausing
Ruben Rausing (1895-1983) was a Swedish industrialist and businessman who co-founded the packaging company Tetra Pak with his brother, Erik Rausing, in 1951. Rausing's innovative packaging design revolutionized the food and beverage industry, making it possible to store and transport perishable foods in a safe and efficient manner. His invention, the Tetra Pak, is a tetrahedral-shaped container made of laminated paperboard that is coated with plastic and aluminum. The Tetra Pak is lightweight, easy to transport, and can keep food fresh for long periods of time without the need for refrigeration. Rausing's invention transformed the way food and beverages are packaged, distributed, and consumed around the world. Rausing was born into a wealthy family in Sweden and studied engineering at the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm. After completing his studies, he worked for various engineering firms before founding Tetra Pak with his brother. Rausing's business acumen and engineering expertise were instrumental in the success of Tetra Pak, which grew to become one of the largest packaging companies in the world. In addition to his work with Tetra Pak, Rausing was also a philanthropist and supporter of the arts. He established the Ruben Rausing Trust to support scientific research and cultural activities in Sweden. Rausing was also an avid art collector and donated many of his paintings to museums and galleries in Sweden.

Ruben Rausing
Ruben Rausing was a Swedish artist renowned for his paintings that blended fictional and surrealistic styles to create a unique visual interpretation of his subjects. Rausing studied painting at the Royal Institute of Art in Stockholm where he was influenced by the works of 17th century Dutch painters. His early works like the Angel of Death (1890) and The Illness (1900) exemplify his ability to play with light and shadow to create a vivid painting. Rausing's later works like The Ship of Fools (1910) and Absalom (1920) feature a combination of religious symbolism and abstract art that pushed the boundaries of what could be achieved in painting.
