Roof Of Living Apartment

Roof Of Living Apartment

Roof of Living Apartment is an exemplary residential interior design project that masterfully transforms a 220-square-metre living space in Hong Kong, demonstrating a sophisticated blend of Modern-French aesthetics with contemporary functionality. This innovative renovation, designed by Keith Chan, reimagines a rare five-bedroom, four-bathroom apartment within a 60-year-old building, creating a harmonious living environment that bridges Eastern and Western lifestyle elements. The design's distinguishing features include an extra-wide glass sliding door system that enables flexible space configuration between the kitchen and dining areas, facilitating both intimate family gatherings and larger social events. The interior architecture incorporates thoughtful elements such as a custom-designed double basin unit with a wooden tray over the bathtub, a luxury shower cubicle with massage jets, and a unique children's room featuring a magnetic whiteboard sliding door partition. The project, which earned a Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design category, showcases exceptional space optimization through its open-plan layout, premium material selection including walnut finishes, and intelligent integration of modern amenities such as a 55-inch entertainment system. The design's success lies in its ability to preserve the emotional connection to the space's heritage while introducing contemporary elements that support the residents' Canadian-influenced lifestyle preferences, effectively addressing the challenges of modern urban living in Hong Kong.
