Robert Rotifer

Robert Rotifer is not an Austrian artist, but rather a British musician and songwriter. Born in Wels, Austria, Rotifer moved to England in the 1990s and began his music career there. He has released several albums, both as a solo artist and with his band, The Raincoats. Rotifer's music is often described as a blend of indie rock, folk, and pop, with influences ranging from The Beatles to Nick Drake. His lyrics are known for their wit and intelligence, often exploring themes of love, loss, and nostalgia. Rotifer has also been involved in various music-related projects, including writing and producing music for films and television. One of Rotifer's most notable projects is his ongoing collaboration with the British singer-songwriter Ian Button. Together, they have released several albums under the name Papernut Cambridge, which is a collective of musicians and artists. The music of Papernut Cambridge is heavily influenced by 1960s and 1970s pop and rock, with a particular emphasis on the sounds of British psychedelia. Rotifer's contributions to the project include songwriting, singing, and playing various instruments. In addition to his music career, Rotifer is also a writer and journalist. He has written for various publications, including The Guardian and The Quietus, and has published a book about his experiences as a musician in England. Rotifer's writing often explores the intersection of music, culture, and politics, and he is known for his insightful and thought-provoking commentary.
