Robert Beck
Robert Beck was an American artist who was recognized for his abstract expressionist works. He was born in New York City in 1926 and held his first solo exhibition in 1962. His work focused on the manipulation of shapes to create illusions of depth and motion. His works often involved the use of intense color, as well as a combination of various mediums and techniques. Beck was also an avid advocate for the use of film in art, which he experimented with in the mid-1960s, when he created several installation pieces that used multiple projections to create immersive experiences. Throughout his career, Beck produced a vast array of acclaimed works, such as Untitled (1964), Manhattan (1965), and New York (1965).
