Reverse Time Residence
Reverse Time Residence is an award-winning residential interior design project that masterfully integrates industrial aesthetics with modern living comfort, completed in Taipei City, Taiwan in 2020. The design, conceptualized and executed by Jeff Hsu and Howard Liu, represents a sophisticated interpretation of industrial style architecture adapted for contemporary residential spaces. The project's distinctive feature lies in its innovative combination of metal elements with modern design components, creating a harmonious interplay between industrial rigidity and residential warmth. The space is characterized by suspended furniture elements, including an ingeniously designed floating table supported by iron components, which creates an illusion of infinite space between the desktop and floor. The design employs a carefully curated material palette, featuring natural white oak flooring, leather furnishings, and rust-treated iron elements that develop a natural patina over time, contributing to the space's evolving character. The ceiling's concrete finish complements the gray-scale wooden floors and light brown laminated wood walls, establishing a cohesive visual narrative throughout the residence.
