Reverse Pickup Table Lamp

Reverse Pickup Table Lamp

Reverse Pickup Table Lamp is an innovative lighting fixture that masterfully combines classical design elements with contemporary functionality, featuring a distinctive circular discus made from translucent marble that gradually illuminates as it rotates along its base. This sophisticated piece, which earned the Silver A' Design Award in the Lighting Products and Fixtures Design category, represents a creative reinterpretation of the traditional record player mechanism, transformed into an elegant lighting solution. The design comprises two primary elements: a perfectly circular marble discus and two bronze arcs that frame the rotating element, creating a dynamic interplay between light and shadow. The technical innovation lies in its construction, where two 3mm thick translucent marble pieces are separated by a circular wreath housing LED tape illumination, powered through contact with a bronze guide that facilitates rotation. The lamp's dimensions of 700mm in length, 95mm in width, and 370mm in height, combined with the discus radius of 150mm, create a harmonious proportion that emphasizes its minimalist aesthetic. The design philosophy embraces the principle of less is more while incorporating luxury materials, offering users the ability to interchange between three different colored marble discuses to suit varying aesthetic preferences and moods. This adaptability, combined with its sophisticated dimming system activated by rotation, exemplifies the marriage of functional innovation with artistic expression in contemporary lighting design.
