Residence Of Tzeng Residential House
Residence of Tzeng Residential House is an exemplary residential architectural project completed in 2014 in Hsinchu City, Taiwan, that masterfully explores the relationship between natural weathering and architectural aesthetics. The design philosophy centers on embracing the unrefined beauty that emerges through the interaction of built structures with environmental elements such as sunlight, rain, and the passage of time. This innovative approach to residential architecture deliberately preserves construction marks on concrete surfaces, treating them as historical traces that create rich gradients of light throughout different seasons. The interior design demonstrates exceptional spatial planning by minimizing wall usage to optimize air circulation and maximize spatial capacity, creating a seamless flow between exterior and interior environments. The project's material palette includes PanDOMO, teak, textured steel, mirrors, exposed concrete, granite paint, painted glass, and Guanyin rocks, all carefully selected to enhance the natural aging process and create an evolving aesthetic narrative. The design, which earned a Golden A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, represents a significant achievement in contemporary residential architecture through its innovative exploration of space perception and environmental interaction. The project's success lies in its ability to challenge conventional residential design paradigms by creating a living environment that strengthens the connection between human inhabitants and natural elements, ultimately achieving a pure and simple beauty that evolves with time.
