Residence H Residential Space
Residence H Residential Space is an award-winning residential interior design project that exemplifies the harmonious fusion of heritage preservation and contemporary living. Located in Taipei, Taiwan, this remarkable renovation transforms a family home while maintaining its emotional and historical significance. The project's distinctive features include a innovative double entrance design and the creative conversion of a former water tower into an open-air courtyard, demonstrating exceptional spatial planning and architectural ingenuity. The interior design philosophy embraces earthy tones that reflect the natural surroundings, while extensive windows and outdoor patios create a seamless connection between indoor and outdoor spaces. Inspired by the homeowner's childhood memories and professional background in the music industry, the design incorporates streamlined elements that echo musical fluidity, with public spaces thoughtfully configured to accommodate performances. The project, designed by Li-An Chen, showcases sophisticated material selection and masterful integration of natural light through large windows, creating dynamic display spaces along the staircase. This residential transformation, recognized with a Silver A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, represents a significant achievement in contemporary residential design, successfully balancing personal heritage with modern functionality while creating an environment that promotes both private comfort and creative expression.
