Regina Silveira

Regina Silveira is a prominent Brazilian artist whose work has been widely exhibited and celebrated around the world. Born in Porto Alegre in 1939, Silveira began producing art in the 1960s and has since become known for her innovative use of visual techniques, new media, and digital art. Her work often incorporates illusions and optical experiments, as well as a combination of traditional media like drawing and painting with modern methods such as video and digital manipulation. One of Silveira's most notable contributions to the art world is her involvement in the Brazilian Concrete Movement, a group of artists who sought to create art that was both rational and objective. Silveira's work within this movement often explored geometric forms and patterns, as well as the use of negative space. In addition to her work with the Brazilian Concrete Movement, Silveira has also created a number of large-scale installations that have been exhibited in museums and galleries around the world. These installations often play with the viewer's perception of space and perspective, creating an immersive and engaging experience for the viewer. Despite her many accomplishments, Silveira remains committed to exploring new forms of artistic expression and pushing the boundaries of what is possible in the world of art. Her work continues to inspire and captivate audiences around the world, and she remains a leading figure in the Brazilian art scene.
