Redo Tea Tea Warehouse is an innovative architectural and interior design project that revolutionizes the traditional concept of tea storage facilities by integrating multiple cultural and commercial functions into a single cohesive space. Located in Xi'an, China, this 7,000-square-meter facility with a 9-meter floor height represents a paradigm shift in warehouse design, transforming the conventional closed storage concept into an open, dynamic urban space. The design philosophy breaks away from traditional warehouse monotony by incorporating floating exhibition spaces, reading areas, and tea-tasting centers, effectively creating what can be termed as Warehouse 2.0. The project's architectural language employs suspended air cubes and standardized storage units dubbed Tea Squares, which create a harmonious blend of functionality and aesthetic appeal. The space features a sophisticated second behavior streamline that guides visitors through various experiential zones, including an art gallery that doubles as an observational point for visitor activities. A notable feature is the entrance's square footstep design, which serves as a transitional space for visitor flow management. The project, which earned a Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category in 2020, exemplifies how contemporary design can bridge the gap between private commercial spaces and public cultural institutions. The facility's innovative approach to space utilization allows for immersive theatrical experiences and provides a platform for artistic innovation in the era of digital connectivity, particularly capitalizing on 5G technology for enhanced business operations.
