Recycled Textile

Recycled Textile is fabric made from used clothing or textile waste that is processed and turned into new material, which is important in circular fashion because it helps keep resources in use for longer. In circular fashion, designers can use recycled textile to create products that are easier to recycle again at the end of their life. Some recycled textiles are made from blended fibers that are sorted by color, so no new dye is needed, which saves water and energy. Designers can find recycled textiles that are made from pre-consumer waste, like factory scraps, or post-consumer waste, like worn-out clothes. Using recycled textiles in circular fashion helps reduce the need for new raw materials and supports a system where materials are used again and again.
