Purrfect For Two Residence

Purrfect For Two Residence

Purrfect for Two Residence is an innovative residential interior design project that masterfully transforms a 40-square-meter living space in Taipei, Taiwan, completed in January 2021. The design ingeniously capitalizes on a 60-centimeter height difference within the space, creating a split-level arrangement that maximizes functionality while maintaining aesthetic harmony. The residence, which earned a Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, showcases exceptional space optimization through its distinctive wavy flow layout that minimizes sharp corners and creates a natural circulation pattern. The interior design demonstrates sophisticated material selection, combining dark grey coating, wood flooring, glass bricks, and plaster to establish a mature and refined atmosphere, while strategic dark pink accents in private areas add elegant charisma. Notable features include a custom-designed environment that caters to both human and feline inhabitants, with thoughtfully proportioned staircases and a specialized wall opening near the entrance for the resident cat. The living area incorporates a multifunctional curved sofa that serves both as a social gathering space and occasional guest bed, while the kitchen employs titanium-plated steel surfaces for durability and visual continuity. Two French windows provide abundant natural illumination, complemented by embedded streamlined artificial lighting that highlights specific zones. The design's innovative approach to small-space living is particularly evident in its horizontal continuous design elements, which create a seamless flow between functional areas such as the kitchen desktop and TV cabinets, while the strategic use of darker colors enhances spatial perception.
