Propeller Labels

Propeller Labels

Propeller Labels is an innovative packaging design collection for spirits that exemplifies sophisticated brand storytelling through aviation-themed visual elements. Created in 2013, this comprehensive labeling system harmoniously combines narrative elements, technical precision, and artistic craftsmanship to present various international spirits under a unified brand identity. The design's distinctive approach features a pilot traveler character as the central brand ambassador, whose journey narratives are intricately woven into the visual language through detailed illustrations, aviation-inspired badges, and cocktail recipe sketches. The technical execution demonstrates exceptional attention to detail, utilizing flexo printing, cold foil applications, contrasting lacquer finishes, and embossing techniques to create a multi-sensory experience. Each label, measuring 75mm in width and 295mm in height, is meticulously crafted to accommodate 500ml vessels while maintaining visual coherence across the product range. The design successfully balances collective brand identity with individual product differentiation through sophisticated use of varied colored foils, patterns, and finishing techniques. This innovative approach to spirits packaging, which earned the prestigious Gold A' Design Award in the Packaging Design category, effectively targets male consumers while conveying quality and expertise through its aviation motif. The design's storytelling aspect invites consumer engagement through detailed illustrations and recipe sketches, creating an interactive experience that extends beyond mere product identification to inspire exploration of new flavors and combinations.
