Prometheus ILight Pendant Light is an innovative interactive pendant lighting fixture that masterfully combines artistic expression with functional illumination, drawing inspiration from Greek mythology to create a compelling narrative about knowledge and enlightenment. This sophisticated lighting design features a 60-centimeter diameter spherical form constructed from acrylic and adorned with Wenge veneer exterior, while its interior is luxuriously lined with 24K gold foil that serves both aesthetic and practical purposes by providing heat insulation. The design's most distinctive feature is its dynamic segmented sphere, which is mathematically proportioned using the Golden Ratio, resulting in a 37.08-centimeter high segment that divides into five separate parts. These segments dramatically open when the light is activated, powered by an ingenious spring return actuator system that operates through a precise gear mechanism, completing the opening sequence in 6 seconds and closing in 2.5 seconds. The fixture's ceiling-mounted component consists of a black acrylic cube, proportioned at a 7:30 ratio relative to the sphere, housing both LED strips and the necessary electrical components including a 24 VAC transformer and LED potentiometer circuit.
