Promenade Residential Building is an innovative architectural project located in Punta del Este, Uruguay, that exemplifies a new paradigm in residential architecture by seamlessly integrating nature with urban living. This ten-story structure, recognized with a Bronze A' Design Award in Architecture, Building and Structure Design category, represents a significant advancement in biophilic design principles, featuring floor-to-ceiling glazing throughout its facade and extensive integration of vegetation. The building encompasses 54 apartments across eight floors, with units ranging from one to three bedrooms, each featuring private green terraces that serve as integral elements of the facade's design. The ground floor houses amenities and commercial spaces, while the rooftop includes a community garden and vegetable plots, promoting sustainable living practices. The architectural language is defined by the harmonious combination of glass, black aluminum, and wood, creating an elegant aesthetic that prioritizes transparency and natural light. The design's primary objective is to enhance residents' health and well-being through thoughtful architectural elements that encourage interaction with nature, facilitate social connections, and promote sustainable living practices. This is achieved through various design features including private green terraces, communal gardens, and spaces specifically designed to optimize natural light and air quality.
