Projection Environment

Projection Environment is a setup in media art where images or videos are displayed onto physical surfaces, such as walls, floors, or objects, to change how people see and interact with a space. In media art, artists use projection environments to turn regular rooms or outdoor areas into moving, changing scenes that respond to sound, movement, or time. Designers can use sensors or simple triggers to make the projected images change when someone walks by or makes a sound. This approach helps create art that feels alive and connected to the audience, making the space itself part of the artwork. Projection environments can use one or many projectors, and the surfaces do not need to be flat; curved or textured surfaces can give new effects and make the experience more interesting.
