Primeval Expressions Water And Spirit Glasses

Primeval Expressions Water And Spirit Glasses

Primeval Expressions Water and Spirit Glasses is an innovative collection of hand-crafted crystal glassware that exemplifies the harmonious fusion of natural forms and artisanal craftsmanship, distinguished by its unique egg-shaped design and sloped cut profile. These sophisticated drinking vessels, which earned the Silver A' Design Award in the Bakeware, Tableware, Drinkware and Cookware Design category, represent a masterful interpretation of primordial forms, capturing the essence of a vitreous liquid drop frozen in crystal. Created by Slovenian designer Mateja Krašovec Pogorelcnik, these glasses are meticulously crafted by experienced glass masters using traditional glass-blowing techniques with premium crystal, producing pieces characterized by exceptional clarity and a distinctive metallic resonance. The design's distinctive feature lies in its ability to gently rock while maintaining stability through careful material distribution, creating an engaging interactive experience while remaining perfectly functional. The collection is complemented by handcrafted coasters made from either walnut or xylite - a rare, 2.5-million-year-old fossilized wood that requires exceptional skill to work with. The glasses are available in two sizes - 0.5 dl and 1 dl - and can be paired with elegantly designed elliptical trays that accommodate either three or ten glasses, along with dedicated finger-food serving platforms. The thoughtful design extends beyond mere functionality, incorporating cultural heritage preservation and environmental consciousness, while the glasses' natural lens-like properties create captivating light interactions with their surroundings, making them both functional vessels and artistic objects that celebrate the intersection of nature, craft, and contemporary design.
