Prance Office

Prance Office

Prance Office is an award-winning interior design project that exemplifies contemporary workplace architecture through its innovative fusion of futuristic aesthetics and functional spatial design. Located in Hsinchu, Taiwan, this 291-square-meter office space, completed in March 2022, demonstrates a sophisticated approach to modern workplace design through its careful consideration of spatial flow and human comfort. The design, conceived by Jacksam Yang, employs a distinctive compression-to-expansion spatial strategy, beginning with a compressed entryway that dramatically opens into a high-ceiling area, creating a dynamic spatial experience. The interior features a thoughtfully curated material palette combining grayscale tones with warm wood elements, while incorporating modern materials that reinforce the futuristic aesthetic. Notable design elements include open staircases crafted from metal and marble that serve as a transparent focal point at the entrance, custom wooden partitions that enhance visual height while providing privacy, and strategic implementation of curved boards paired with linear lighting that guides circulation flow. The space's sophisticated design philosophy balances technology, humanity, and artistic expression, evident in its careful integration of natural light through large windows, the purposeful use of glass and tiles for area demarcation, and the implementation of thoughtfully designed negative spaces that create a sense of lightness. This exceptional interior design project was recognized with a Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, acknowledging its outstanding contribution to workplace design through its innovative spatial solutions and aesthetic excellence.
