Poetry Home Residential
Poetry Home Residential is an award-winning interior design project that exemplifies the harmonious fusion of modern aesthetics with oriental design elements, created by designer Hsu Hua Yang. This sophisticated residential transformation, completed in 2019, demonstrates innovative space optimization within a 20-pyeong area through its thoughtful architectural flow and multifunctional design solutions. The project's distinctive features include a rectangular ambulatory plane flow that seamlessly connects the living room, study room, and master bedroom, fostering enhanced interaction between the occupants while maintaining spatial efficiency. The design incorporates several notable elements, including a half-height wall with integrated desk functionality, creating dual-purpose spaces that maximize utility without compromising aesthetics. The interior's material palette is carefully curated, featuring hexagonal brick flooring in the dining area, light blue tile accents, and a sophisticated stone TV wall adorned with ink wash patterns that pay homage to oriental artistic traditions. The project's lighting strategy is particularly noteworthy, with the removal of partition walls in the kitchen area to create an open-plan living space that optimizes natural light distribution. The design philosophy emphasizes creating a calm, hotel-like atmosphere through the use of darker base tones, while maintaining visual expansion through strategic use of grey glass and hollow structures. This project, which earned recognition at the A' Design Award competition in the Interior Space and Exhibition Design category, showcases exceptional attention to practical functionality while achieving sophisticated aesthetic goals. The design successfully addresses modern living requirements through its innovative space planning, material selection, and integration of cultural elements, creating a harmonious environment that enhances the daily lives of its occupants.
