Pleasure Of Relaxation Interior Design
Pleasure of Relaxation Interior Design is an award-winning architectural renovation project that exemplifies the harmonious integration of natural elements with interior spatial design, completed in 2017 in Taipei City, Taiwan. This sophisticated 450-square-meter residential transformation masterfully addresses the challenges of an existing structure featuring a 6-meter ceiling height and personal yard, through innovative architectural interventions that optimize natural light exposure and ventilation. The design's distinctive approach incorporates a mezzanine floor while maintaining spatial fluidity, achieved through a thoughtfully conceived side-by-side layout that seamlessly connects the living room, dining room, bar, and kitchen areas. The project's architectural excellence is particularly evident in its treatment of the vertical space, where metal lamps create a dramatic visual connection between the expansive living room and the more intimate second floor. The interior design philosophy emphasizes the interplay between roughness and delicacy, combining contemporary aesthetics with composed elegance through careful material selection and lighting design. The integration of folding doors enables a dynamic relationship with the courtyard, enhancing the overall living experience through the strategic incorporation of natural elements. This exceptional design, created by Chien-Kai Ma, received the Silver A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, recognizing its outstanding contribution to residential interior architecture and its innovative approach to spatial transformation. The project demonstrates remarkable expertise in balancing aesthetic sophistication with functional practicality, creating an environment that promotes relaxation and well-being while maintaining a strong connection to its natural surroundings.
