Platinum And Stone Sentiment Interior Design

Platinum And Stone Sentiment Interior Design

Platinum and Stone Sentiment Interior Design is an exemplary residential interior design project that masterfully blends contemporary aesthetics with functional sophistication, completed in 2021 in Hsinchu County, Taiwan. This 110-square-meter single-storey residence, designed by Chou Shu-Lung, demonstrates an innovative approach to spatial organization that harmoniously integrates the diverse interests and needs of its occupants. The design's distinctive character emerges from its thoughtful fusion of calm, linear aesthetics with romantic elegant classical elements, featuring Spanish marble as a primary material in the living room walls and dining table surface, creating subtle reflections of outdoor greenery and ambient lighting. The project showcases exceptional attention to detail in its craftsmanship, particularly evident in the sophisticated pale grey frosted textural coatings applied to the sofa back wall, dining room end wall, and foyer cabinet, achieved through an innovative technique utilizing ultra-fine sand in the undercoat. A notable feature is the ingeniously designed three-way kitchen island cabinet, constructed with thin slate panels that combine primitive elegance with practical functionality, incorporating a wine cabinet, two-layer dining ware drawers, and an electrical appliance compartment. The design's religious and spiritual elements are thoughtfully integrated through a carefully curated foyer featuring a martial king statue and complementary wooden grills, creating a harmonious balance between sacred and secular spaces. This project, recognized with an Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, exemplifies excellence in residential interior design through its sophisticated material selection, spatial optimization, and cultural sensitivity.
